Work Description -  These dwellings are the first in a new generation of council owned housing stock within the region. The Drake Road project was built on an existing garage block site within a residential area. Prime Build was the main contractor to undertake the project from the demolition of the two garage blocks and surrounding concrete hard standing, to the completion of two semi-detached dwellings. 
Prime Build, worked with their sub-contract supply chain to create modern social housing living within an existing community. The properties comprise of being of traditional construction with pitch roofs, housing over 8KW’s of PV system benefiting the tenants daily electrical consumption. With further air source heat pump heating system and composite windows the properties are fully up to date with modern efficient housing stock. 

Project specific build requirements - As the project was in the heart of an existing residential area, it was key to minimize any disruption to the surrounding residents that a housing project could bring during construction. Adding to our considerate contractor policy Prime Build kept in regular contact with all surrounding residents, informing them of any up and coming abnormal events during the build, also listening to any concerns and amending schedules as required. Noise and dust was also a key consideration on this project, which was mitigated out within our sub-contractor ordering process and regular monitoring during the build.
